TIPS FOR CLOTHING

  • WOMEN: Wear solid clothing or if you do wear a pattern limit it to muted darker tones. Designs in clothing have a tendency to quickly be dated and distract from the most important part of the portrait, your beautiful face. It is also helpful and sliming that women NOT wear sleeveless tops.
  • MAKEUP: We strongly suggest you use our experienced makeup artist. Nancy Vela has the knowledge and talent to apply makeup in our lighting environment. However, if you feel like you want to forge on your own the general rule on makeup is to wear it as if you are going out to an evening dress event. If you feel it’s a little too much, it is generally good with the lighting I use. False eyelashes are a great enhancement, too and are available to purchase before the session.
  • HAIR: It's a very personal thing. So we like you to come with it the way you like and we can arrange, adjust, spray until you are happy!
  • JEWELRY: Bring a few things you like and look good with your outfit to have options. Less is the new black
  • MEN: If you need a corporate look, jacket and/or tie, solid colored shirts, i.e. light blue, beige, black, etc. Pure white would be the last option. If there is a pattern, please limit to a light pattern. I heard paisley is making a comeback but it will be outdated as soon as you leave! Complementary colored ties, plain or mild patterns are also good. Save the Jerry Garcia tie for the after party unless it's really cool.
  • CREATIVES: Be fun, think of how your photo will be seen and what it will say. Clothing helps sell the shot but should not be the hero. Bring your personality! Sweaters, shirt, darker colors, (again if you want your photos to last longer, solid or mild darker patterns) Or wear something you feel very comfortable in. If you've been pumping iron and want to show the guns, cover them and we'll save it for another shoot!
  • BACKGROUNDS: Univ, BLACK, WHITE, GREY are considered best and we can discuss before the session. However, I will have a different background set for those that feel a more natural out of focus setting is what you need. Sasquatch/Big Foot is extra.
  • MOST IMPORTANT: HAVE FUN, RELAX and we will get GREAT images!

Thanks

Audia

AFTER YOUR SESSION

About two weeks after the photo shoot, you'll receive an email with your own personal, protected website. The images on your site will be raw, as in not processed, color corrected, retouched, or cropped in any manner. Unless you pre paid for additional, your package includes ONE image. Most people, once they see them, purchase additional images for multiple uses, i.e. LinkedIn, FaceBook, dating site, etc. My suggestion is to choose for facial expression and pose.

  • Choose your fave, send me an email with the number (located at the bottom of each image) of your selection(s).
  • Processing, cropping, minor smoothing of wrinkles, bags, etc. will begin! The images will be cropped to 5x7 dimension.
  • After another week or two you'll receive an email from @WeTransfer.com. You can safely download them by following the directions.
  • The images are sized for Print and Web use, so you don't have to do it yourself to make it fit in places like LinkedIn.
  • If you have a problem selecting your favorite, I'm happy to help. Start by narrowing them down to under 5, then email the numbers to audiafoto@mac.com. I'll give you my thoughts on what might be best for your use.

We all see ourselves differently, kind of like hearing your recorded voice. Think in terms of what you want to say with this image unless you are a real clown and need to show that off.

May the force be with you during the session. I will be your photographer and guide as we venture off into what I hope will be the best images you've ever experienced!

Thanks,
